Reel Economy
Reel Economy is a residency and convening that explores how a select group of nonfiction media projects can be used to expand our understanding of the economic systems that are currently at the forefront of our national conversation. Reel Economy features nonpartisan documentaries that offer unique perspectives on the challenges and opportunities within the US and global economic systems. Reel Economy will connect the participating filmmaking teams with nonprofit organizations, online initiatives, and funders that are moving us toward a sustainable economy that works for everyone.

Reel Aging
Reel Aging: Real Change is an initiative that ties compelling documentary films and transmedia projects that explore aging to ongoing policy work and grassroots campaigns supporting older populations globally. This initiative brings together media makers and advocates of elder rights for a residency and collaborative campaign that offers audiences a unique way to reflect on how the aging process affects multiple generations all at once, as we head towards a future we all face - growing older.

Reel Food
A residential workshop that brought together nonfiction media-makers telling powerful stories about food and agriculture with non-profit organizations that are working for healthy, just and sustainable communities. The intention of Reel Food is to hone filmmakers' audience-engagement plans, seed collaboration and cross-promotion, and generate concrete partnerships between the documentary projects and NGOs. This workshop supported a variety of media-based campaigns including feature length films, shorts, online initiatives and transmedia projects.

Reel Education
A residential workshop designed to help filmmakers and non-profit organizations leverage the power of films that document some of the most significant problems that unfold every day in schools across the United States and the world. This week-long training will nurture the work of filmmakers who are grantees of The Fledgling Fund and Chicken & Egg Pictures, assuring their films are used strategically to engage educators, parents, youth, policy makers and others in action to improve the quality of education in their communities and in the nation as a whole.
