Try Us is a collection of short films created for community screenings. These events are demystifying organizing strategies and inspiring people to organize their own workplaces and stand with the broader labor movement. Funded through our Docs In Action Film Fund in partnership with Amazon Labor Union, NC State AFL-CIO, Starbucks Workers United, Union of Southern Service Workers, and United Farm Workers, these films are for workers everywhere.
Explore the films below and sign up to host a free screening. Our team will work with you to plan the event, share organizing resources, and help make the screening a tool for building power in your community.

When a group of baristas in Buffalo, New York announce their intention to start a labor union, Starbucks responds with an elaborate, illegal anti-union attack. Featuring on-the-ground footage from workers and organizers, Partners takes us to the front lines of the historic union campaign that catalyzed America’s Gen Z labor revival.
The film provides a behind the scenes look at how salts can ignite organizing efforts, and what it takes to win. It also exposes the relentless union busting tactics used by Starbucks, highlighting the uphill battle workers face.
Host a screening to inspire people to organize their own workplaces, and to build more solidarity with people outside of the labor movement who may not yet realize the lengths corporations will go to crush worker power.

Featuring conversations with members and leaders of UTLA, Students Deserve, Eastside Padres Contra la Privatizacion, and SEIU 99, the film offers urgent lessons for workers and communities across the world.
